The chef is absolutely first-rate. The food was superb. Every dish was marked by characteristically fresh ingredients. Each dish had a very unique character. The effort the chef underwent to perfect each dish is readily apparent. The food surpassed expectations of even high class establishments in mainland France - I fully expect this to be the best restaurant I will eat at in French Polynesia.
Aside from the food itself, the atmosphere is, in a word, cozy. It is a unique blend of casual and formal, refined and provincial, elegant and down to earth. Service, attentive and friendly, without being overbearing.
