Wakame Sushi Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Papeete

Very good atmosphere. Good service. The automated sushi are really the best part, so if you enjoy sushi I greatly recommend. Though the bento were not to our group's taste, as the tempura and katsu chicken were very salty. But what was a real let down was the mushi mushi. The paste wasn't good at all. Something of a mix of marzipan and sugar-coat.

So if you're a fan of sushi, definitely check this place out. If you want to try their bento, go ahead but bring lots of water. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, the room is quite nice and not noisy at all...

Great people serving quality food in a lovely atmosphere! The staff were so very friendly and genuine. They offer a menu you can order from in addition to a sushi conveyer belt you can graze off of. The inside of the little restaurant is popping with decorations fitting the Japanese restaurant theme. Probably the best spot for sushi in the area. Wir waren heute dort und beim Empfang wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir ohne Reservierung nur draußen im Dunkeln sitzen könnten, da alle Tische reserviert wären, auch wenn wir es zum Zeitpunkt des Ankommens nicht sehen könnten (ca. 5 Tische waren besetzt, die restlichen Tische und 80% der Barplätze waren frei). In diesem Moment klingelte das Telefon und ein reservierter Tisch wollte abgesagt haben, sodass wir diese Barplätze nehmen konnten. Als wir eine gute Stunde später gegen 20Uhr gingen, waren über 25 Plätze frei.

Wir bestellten zum Trinken zwei große Bier und dazu 1L Sprite. Uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass es nur noch Dosen Sprite gäbe. Als wir an der Kasse zum Bezahlen standen, kam eine Mitarbeiterin mit einer 1L Flasche Sprite zur Bar gelaufen.

Insgesamt fühlten wir uns dadurch verarscht.

Die zwei Sterne gehen vollständig an die Küche, da das Essen an sich sehr lecker war!

Dennoch würden wir dieses Restaurant keinesfalls empfehlen oder wieder dort...
