I have to start by saying it was our 3rd attempt at something we considered French excel at, wine, bread and charcuterie. Disappointment thus far. Barawine made us forget all about any previous bad experiences. The platter was huge, we initially ordered the big one and the waiter recommended us to go for the small one (excellent advice!!). The platter had huge portions of cheese, cold cuts, fois gras and other small gems. One of those things where, your stomach says "hey your full" , but the brain says "that thing tastes amazing, more!!". Wine we just mentioned what we liked and followed the suggestion, which I have to point out was at a reasonable price instead of just choosing an expensive wine.
Service was super nice, the atmosphere with what seemed like a few quirky locals was interesting too.
Will wholeheartedly recommend to any friends, connections or anyone asking for a place to...
Read moreWhat a gem! We were strolling around Paris looking for a place with real French vibes. We walked into Barawine and started off with glass of white at the bar. After 15 minutes we got a table and ordered the petit 50/50 charcuterie and cheeseboard. This is ALL you can hope for when ordering a plate of French stuff. It was stacked with great cheeses, a ton of different charcuterie. We couldnt imagine it was only 30 euroâs and that it must have been per person. It wasnt. Would recommend this place to every person that wants the full French experience. The guy with the brace serving (I believe his name was Soufyan) was one of the nicest waiters weâve had in...
Read moreFantastic! I had a couple of places in mind for our first night in Paris - following hours of "extensive" research - but both were closed due to a public holiday. This left us wandering around, trying to find somewhere excellent to enjoy Paris, and I was starting to feel despondent. The terrace at Barawine was packed with locals, which caught our eye, so we grabbed a couple of seats at the bar and were treated like royalty. The charcuterie (meat, cheese, pate) was exceptional - and probably the largest "platter for two" we have ever seen! The wine was also delicious, and two glasses on the house were certainly a very welcome surprise. Thanks...
