Chez Meunier — Restaurant in Paris

Horrible experience, extremely unfriendly. The manager yells at all the employees and ended up yelling at us too. Don’t support this behaviour.

We started eating our take away food at the boulangerie outside because we only had a few minutes and wouldn’t finish all our food. The manager came outside and started yelling at us and tried to grab our take away bag from us, knocking the cutlery out of my friend’s hands. She kept yelling and yelling and making a big scene and arguing with us. We explained that we ordered take away because we only had a few minutes and would have to leave soon and take the food with us. She didn’t accept any of this and kept yelling at us. I cannot believe that she treats her customers like this, let alone her employees! We felt sad and shocked.

I have never felt as unwelcome at a restaurant as I did at Chez Meunier in Paris. From the moment we walked in, the service was appalling. The staff was rude and dismissive, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers.

The final straw was when we asked for our food to be heated up. The request was flatly refused without any explanation, leaving us with cold, unappetizing dishes. To make matters worse, it took three separate transactions to get all the items we ordered because the server kept forgetting what we had asked for.

I would not recommend Chez Meunier to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience in Paris. The lack of hospitality and poor service completely overshadowed the potential of the food. Avoid this...

Very unfriendly place with poor customer service and tasteless food. This has been my bakery for the last couple years since I lived only 1 minute away. This morning I paid for 2 croissants using a 50€ bill and they gave me change for a 10€ bill. I returned later to correct the mistake and they told me I had no proof. I asked them to look in the register to see the 50€ and they refused and walked away. The food itself does not taste very good here either, it is stale with poor flavour.
