This is not at all like a Berlin Döner! In Germany, the typical Döner meat is low quality and very finely ground in order to hide that fact. Here are real pieces of meat on the spit, that are then cut into smaller pieces. The "sauce piquante" is really "piquante". And the combo comes with a drink and home-made french fries. They Döner for me compared to good Döners from Germany it’s just a standard Döner. The size is average or even below average. The taste of the meat is average and also the other ingredients like the salad or the sauces and the vegetables. Overall, I’m missing taste in every ingredient (also the bread!). I have lived in a couple of cities in Germany and would myself consider a Döner fan (but also very critical - cannot deny). Note, you pay a premium price, so I expect a premium Döner. I live in the neighborhood and since trying Döni Berliner, I keep going back! The food quality is amazing (the sandwiches, the fries… 😍) and the staff is friendly. It’s my go-to option whenever I want to grab a bite before going to the cinema or when I want to picnic by the canal or the Bassin de la Villette.
