I was looking for vegetarian restaurants in Paris, and found a recommendation for Jalaloh. I've never had Koshary, but, it sounded good, so I made the trek to the 18me to try it. Oh my gosh! It was delicious! I also had the mint tea - because you have to! It was also excellent. My entire bill was 11€90. The restaurant is small, it was busy, and I was dining solo, the only woman in the place, but I was welcomed in. When my food was served, the owner showed me how to put the sauces on top, and mix it together. Koshary is my new favorite dish, and I will be looking for it at home. Everything else on the menu, and in the window, ready for takeout, looked delicious. Jalaloh is definitely worth the effort to find.

You're met with a kind-hearted man who is happy to serve and show you his food. The chef loves what he is doing and what to nutrious his customers. The food is incredible. You really are given amazingly healthy food full of flavour at an extremely respectable price. It was shocking to me to see how great the food was with such prices. We tried the falafel, Egyptian Foul, and Mulukhiyah. Which were all fantastic! I can't recommend this little cosy place enough for people. They also have a student discount. :)

Was looking for a cheap and good place to eat plant-based around when I came across this place and its reviews. Some were mentioning 5€ for the best falafel. It is made with fava beans as opposed to chickpea falafels. I had the pita and my girlfriend got the wrap falafel sandwich. This place has the art of deep frying all figured out. The fries were also excellent - crispy and delicious! One day they will stop serving meat - "Hamdullah", as they say there.

This place is brilliant. I ordered an Alexandrian liver sandwich and had some tea after. The sandwich filling and the bread were both high quality and fresh. Everything was delicious. Service was great. There are lots of both veggie and non-veggie options, and all distinctly Egyptian cuisine.

I spent time talking to two of the guys that work there and they were both incredibly lovely, and passionate about ensuring this is a great Egyptian food spot in town!

The place is decorated with photos of legends of Egyptian cinema and music, and with posters of classic Egyptian films. The Egyptian music playing in the background also added to a really cosy atmosphere.

Highly...
