I was looking for vegetarian restaurants in Paris, and found a recommendation for Jalaloh. I've never had Koshary, but, it sounded good, so I made the trek to the 18me to try it. Oh my gosh! It was delicious! I also had the mint tea - because you have to! It was also excellent. My entire bill was 11€90. The restaurant is small, it was busy, and I was dining solo, the only woman in the place, but I was welcomed in. When my food was served, the owner showed me how to put the sauces on top, and mix it together. Koshary is my new favorite dish, and I will be looking for it at home. Read moreThis place is brilliant. I ordered an Alexandrian liver sandwich and had some tea after. The sandwich filling and the bread were both high quality and fresh. Everything was delicious. Service was great. There are lots of both veggie and non-veggie options, and all distinctly Egyptian cuisine.
I spent time talking to two of the guys that work there and they were both incredibly lovely, and passionate about ensuring this is a great Egyptian food spot in town!
The place is decorated with photos of legends of Egyptian cinema and music, and with posters of classic Egyptian films. The Egyptian music playing in the background also added to a really cosy atmosphere.

The food is incredible. You really are given amazingly healthy food full of flavour at an extremely respectable price. It was shocking to me to see how great the food was with such prices.
