The Parisian welcome you’re looking for. La Gazette is one of those places: if you know, you know. Great food of course. Vibey ambiance and tasty cocktails. You will most certainly enjoy your meal. But above all, the service and welcome are unmatched. Hugo and team are the best! They go above and beyond to ensure you have an outstanding experience at their establishment and their positive energy is contagious. We enjoyed our first dinner so much that we decided to also spend our last evening here before leaving Paris. La Gazette is our home away from home and we plan to visit every year. P.S. It’s definitely the kind of local place Camille would hang out at. #EmilyInParis #CamilleKnowsHugo

Solid restaurant in a quiet side street. Outdoor seating is limited. Lunch was good. Menu is available in English as well. For undecided tourists, they do offer a burger option. One of the little ones got the burger and it was a nice one. The rest of the food was good ranging from fish, pork and chicken with various sides. All dishes are freshly seasoned using various fresh herbs.

Beautiful small restaurant with excellent menu and friendly staff. We were there after a business meeting and although the pkace was totally packed and everyone eating á la carte, the dishes cane spot-on and with reasonable waiting time. Beautiful Pavlova for desert, delicious taste. Last to mention, excellent wine menu with high quality entries.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try the food, as I was mistreated and quite literally kicked out of the restaurant by one of the waiters. I had unknowingly sat at a table that was apparently reserved—something no one clearly communicated to me. Rather than politely asking me to move, as any professional would (“Madam, I’m sorry, but this table is reserved—would you mind moving to another one?”), I was repeatedly asked to switch tables of the same size without any explanation.

After several confusing and tense exchanges, during which the waiter seemed increasingly exasperated but still failed to explain the situation clearly, he ultimately said, and I quote: “I can do this, madam. Go have dinner somewhere else.” He made an unnecessary scene over something that could have been resolved in seconds with basic courtesy. Needless to say, I had no desire to stay after that.

I told him I understood working in hospitality—especially during the busy summer season—can be stressful, but that there was absolutely no excuse for speaking to a customer that way. His behavior was completely unprofessional and more akin to a teenager throwing a tantrum than a trained staff member.

Perhaps I’ll give the restaurant another try—on a day when that particular waiter...

To celebrate our milestone 30th wedding anniversary, my husband and I chose La Gazette for dinner, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. The menu was a delightful surprise, offering a unique and expertly executed fusion of classic French cuisine with subtle Asian influences. Despite being a bustling Wednesday night, the service remained impeccable, attentive, and genuinely warm. We were especially touched when one of the owners took the time to come speak with us, apologizing for not being able to linger longer due to the busy atmosphere, but expressing his desire to connect with his guests – a personal touch that truly enhanced our evening. As if the delicious meal and wonderful service weren't enough, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert adorned with a mini firecracker to mark our special occasion. From the innovative menu to the exceptional service and genuine hospitality, La Gazette made our anniversary dinner truly unforgettable, and we wholeheartedly recommend it, especially for those celebrating life's special moments.

*Highly recommend making a...

A Hidden Gem in Paris — Unforgettable Evening!

I almost don’t want to share this secret spot because it’s just that good — but it deserves all the love! We had a truly fabulous evening here, from start to finish. The food was nothing short of amazing, and the drinks were perfectly crafted. The atmosphere strikes that rare balance between cozy and vibrant — ideal for a relaxed but lively night out. What made the evening truly special, though, was the staff. The servers were not only attentive, but absolutely hilarious — they had us laughing all night! A huge thank you to Hugo (I hope I got the name right!) for going above and beyond to make our night unforgettable. And I have to mention: the artichoke. My absolute favorite. I could eat it every day and never get tired of it. If you go, do...
