The gal who was behind the counter was very helpful to this American tourist. I asked her if she spoke English and she said "I try." She was great! I had phrases written down to show in case of communication problems, but didn't need them. My husband had a cold with cough and congestion. She helped me get the correct products, asked if he had high blood pressure or other health problems to make sure what I got was ok for him, and told me how to dispense it. I had been to another Pharmacie a few days prior but it was smaller with fewer options and the communication was more difficult. At the Palais des Congrès de Paris, we saw the Nutcracker ballet on January 5th (Casse-Noisette) performed by Opéra National de Russie. Even though the venue is located quite far from the city center for Parisian standards, on Place de la Porte Maillot, which is literally the westernmost border of the city, the ride from our Left Bank hotel took only 21 minutes and 25 euro by Uber Black (Mercedes C-Class). The venue itself is very spacious with a great inner design allowing for unobstructed view from practically every seat. The staff is very helpful and numerous, on every step of you "journey" towards your seat you are met and greeted by bilingual staff, there is no way you are left not knowing how to find your seat.
