La Mi Fa - Bistronomie de Quartier — Restaurant in Paris

This is my neighbourhood bistro and I'm proud to call it so! The welcome is warm and the service was good, the waiters were able to offer great advice in both French and English! We had a starter, main, dessert and coffee and absolutely everything were spot on: fresh, full of flavour and seasonal. The menu is small and unpretentious, you know you're getting quality food when they have a concise list of dishes per course (run away if you see a menu that has 5+ starters, 8+ main dishes and an array of desserts, chances are, they are all cooked from frozen BUT NOT THIS PLACE!). I have been to this restaurant regularly for the past three years and I must say that if you haven't been, then why haven't you? This, to me, is what great French gastronomy is about: fantastic flavours, great ingredients and impeccable wines. I have never had a bad meal here and each time I come, I feel so cared by the staff, they feel like family to me. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food, I wager you that you cannot find something of this calibre, in Paris, for the price. We came here for dinner on New Year's Eve after having worked extremely hard to find a restaurant willing to accommodate our various dietary requirements (two pescatarians, a veggie and a meat-eater). The service was extremely friendly, wine was very good and the steak and the cheese platter in particular were excellent. Fish and veggie mains and dessert were good.
