I dined at this lovely restaurant in Rue Louis Blanc twice in five days with a friend. It was only a short walk from the Hotel Paris Louis Blanc, where we were staying in Paris. We were warmly welcomed by a friendly waitress/proprietor, who explained the menu carefully. For me, she recommended grilled fish which were freshly caught that day. On both occasions, I plumped for grilled seabass, served with salad and rice. My friend chose the vegetarian option to meet her dietary needs. While waiting for our meals to be served, we were given complimentary hors d'ourves of olives and cheese. This was followed by a bowl of pitta bread, which we dipped in the olive oil from the previous dish. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. I couldn't resist eating all the fish, except for the bones, obviously! The house wine which we chose to accompany our meals was also lovely. After we finished, we were given complimentary liqueur! The price was reasonable and the service was excellent. Thanks to the waitress/proprietor and her son, the chef, for two evenings of wonderful dining experiences. I highly recommend this restaurant in Rue Louis Blanc, as a little gem to dine, in a nice, 'off the beaten track'...
Read moreA lovely run restaurant that serves halal and great value.
We came as a family about 7pm on a weekday. The restaurant was quarter full with instant table. The hostess was warm and friendly.
We ordered a mixed starter - a great variety of dips which were all tasty (didn't try the taramasalta). We are not big eaters so the starter for one was enough. The bread was nice but became hard very quickly.
We also ordered the chicken skewers (best) and the beef adana and beyti - struggled to tell the difference between these but both tasty.
The salad and cous cous were also tasty.
We didn't have any drinks or desserts but they looked great.
Overall a great meal, many rave about the fish but we couldn't eat this so can't comment.
I have it a 4 for food but it a 4.5 mainly as the beyti and adana...

It was mine and my boyfriend's first time trying Turkish food (in Paris) and we were served by the loveliest lady who made our evening really enjoyable! (AND who also made sure there was not a speck of food left on our plates) 😂
For starters we had the meze (for 2) and for my main course I had the Cipura (Chi-pura) fish which comes with salad. The dishes were delicious and really fresh.
Difficult to say whether I would try any other place from now on, as they've set my standards pretty high and the menu doesn't break the bank! 😁
A cosy little restaurant tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Canal Saint Martin. Definitely recommend to those who fancy trying authentic Turkish food, in a cosy environment with great...
