We found the restaurant by reading through countless Google reviews. Le Bistrot d'Yves stood out. We made the reservation for a party of 6 just hours before its opening. We took the last time slot available. The food was beyond amazing. If you like beef, you've gotta try their beef cheeks. I've never had such tender juicy beef. According to the server, who was very knowledgeable and patiently explained every single dish to us, the beef was cooked for 6 hours. We had 4 kids with us. Two of them ordered beef cheeks, one ordered beef steak, and my 9 year old ordered King prawns. Kids said that was the best meal they had ever had. The portions were very good for French food. Everyone was full in the end, trying to save some room for dessert 😄 We definitely recommend this rare find and would visit again next...

Great place, don’t miss it (both for excellent food and service). We were met with professional, super helpful (also in English) waiters who took time to explain the menu and were very attentive. We never had to wait and they were friendly and patient whilst we took time to decide and ask many questions. Shout-out to: Enguey, Maxence & Daouda, great job and thanks for adding to the ambience. The owner (Yves) also came to check-in and made us feel welcome and ensured we were happy (also has some great stories). Service and people were impeccable. Food: very well balanced flavors and all home made. I would come back for every dish, they were truly tasty. We had the country terrine (one of the best I’ve ever had), the fish rillettes, then prawns and beef cheeks for mains. All...

What a lovely discovery this homely restaurant is. The service is lovely, staff are attentive, prices are affordable and food is fantastic. So good we came back for a 2nd meal a few days later.

All the food is good, but I specially recommend their pan-fried fresh mushrooms (starter), the premium rib steak or slow-braised beef cheek (main courses) and the mi cuit au chocolat (dessert) which is a chocolate lava cake served with ice cream. The fresh mushrooms are incredibly light and tasty, and the dauphinoise potatoes served with the beef cheek are to-die-for - absolutely amazing.

Special mention to the kind staff, who took the effort to print a train roster for us so we would know which lines were operating during the strikes. Could not recommend this restaurant more....
