Delicious food, lovely ambiance but bad service. The food is delicious and all vegan. It's creative, definitely not traditionally Japanese but a really nice experience. The quality of service was very poor for a few reasons though.
Negatives: Plain green tea and hojicha is 5€ for a tiny cup. A bit offensive.
I waited 25 minutes and nobody came to take my drink order.
The table next to us let the server know they had an allergy and then they were served a dish containing the allergen.
They don't have an English menu which was an issue for many of the other guests, as vegan restaurants usually attract an international crowd.
The last thing that really was disappointing was that when it was time to pay, we waited more than 10 minutes and were directed to pay at the bar after getting our bill to the table and waiting while other clients were prioritized. I sure hope this lack of prioritization was not racially motivated.
Conclusions: Nevertheless, I would come back to Bloom for the food and environment. As it just opened in the last month there is room to improve the training of the staff. I noticed they had alcohol free spirits by Lyre at the bar that were not on the menu. It would be nice to see non alcoholic cocktails added to the menu.
I hope the restaurant can take this as constructive feedback and continue to improve to reach their potential as a great upscale vegan...

Bloom is not known for its hospitality.
The restaurant has a pleasantly decorated interior, but unfortunately that was the highlight of the experience.
We were sat at a wobbly table and barely interacted with by the service staff. The entire meal the seemed to prefer if we weren’t there at all.
I ordered the simple omakase and when the plate of assorted vegan sushi’s arrived nothing was described. So I apologize, I don’t know which items to advise avoiding as I’m not sure what I ate. All I can say is none of it was any good so I can only assume the rest of the menu is of the same quality.
The miso soup was ok.
The gyoza was pretty good. The one saving grace.
We were excited to try a vegan restaurant in Paris where the options are limited. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant as they themselves don’t seem to want guests to enjoy...
Read moreJust the most incredible tasting sushi! We opted for a menu which helped us the discover a few different rolls and the gyoza (which were possibly the best gyoza I have experienced - crispy, tasty filling, divine sauce).
The rolls - where to begin! My personal favourites of the selection included the Philadelphia (creamy and punchy), dragon eyes (this one had a nice spicy kick which balanced well with the sushi roll). The Katsu flavoured one was my absolute favourite and I would order this time and time again!
Easy website to use to make a reservation online, staff were friendly and helpful and passionate about the restaurant and the products. They were happy to answer questions about the products.
If you haven’t been here, you are missing out! The best sushi...
