Wonderful owners, delicious food, and a fantastic atmosphere!
I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Thierry and Hamza the owners of Le Xeme on my first day in Paris on August 3rd. I had arrived earlier than expected to meet my Airbnb host and was standing on the sidewalk with my luggage when Thierry noticed me and offered to put my luggage in their restaurant. He gave me a seat at an outside table where I waited for my host. That was the start of an amazing experience with Thierry and Hamza and eating truly the best food ever during my 10 days in Paris at Le Xeme!
My first dining treat was their amazing Grilled Chicken Caesar salad which was served with fresh bread and accompanied by a glass of the best Moscato (recommended by Thierry) I have ever had! Over the next 10 days, I ate at Le Xeme numerous times - enjoying their steak and frites, steak and homemade garlic mashed potatoes (the best I have ever had) fish and chips and the best hamburger (a late-night craving) served on a fresh delicious brioche bun that was light and fluffy was to die for.
Besides the great food, the one thing that sets Le Xeme apart for me was that no matter what time I was eating the atmosphere was always welcoming, warm, friendly and genuine! There was always laughter and an overall feeling of happiness – which was all due to Thierry and Hamza! They are fantastic owners whose interaction with their guests went beyond taking the time to answer and recommend dining choices, they engaged in conversations, joined in the laughter and made the dining experiences special. It was like you were with family and long-time friends.
Overall, my experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I sat down on my first day in Paris until the day I left Paris, I felt welcomed and pampered by the delicious food, impeccable service, and charming ambiance which truly made for a memorable experience. Thank you, Thierry, and Hamza I truly appreciated your kindness!!! This restaurant exceeded all my expectations. You do not often find a place where every element comes together so perfectly like it does at Le Xeme. I highly recommend Le...

UPDATE In response to restaurant: I am the birthday person and I wrote this review. The other review from that night is written by the person who received the raw food. You had TWO different reviews from TWO different people.
No, it was not a good evening.
4 days later and my ears are still ringing & hurting from the music. Everyone at the table was complaining about the fact we waited 1.5 hours for food and about how loud the music was. That is why THREE people left before we even reached dessert!!
And the restaurant still has nothing to say about the fact we paid twice for the people who left early!! We ordered at 9pm and didn’t get food until 10:45pm. That is insane!!
As the birthday person I wanted to leave after we finished dinner because it was so loud and miserable.
For those who read this review, please notice how the restaurant takes no responsibility and instead tries to gaslight themselves and you into believing everyone was happy. Just because people are polite and say thank you does not mean they enjoyed the evening.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I will start by saying the staff is lovely. But that is the only good point the rest is awful. First, a few people in our group left early but paid before leaving. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t apply it to the check so at the end we had to pay again. Second, we waited 1.5 hours for food that was not good. My friend received chicken that was not even fully cooked!!! Third, the music was so bad and so loud that you couldn’t hear someone sitting right next to you. I repeatedly asked the DJ to turn the music down a little as we were sitting right under the speaker and he refused. Turns out, they had a space we could have been in the whole time that did not have the loud music. I’m writing this the next day and my ears are still ringing. I have the worst headache. I think I’m going to have to go to the doctor because all sound is difficult for...
