Pole & Dance — Local services in Paris

I am extremely disappointed with my experience during my first class after registration. I have been practicing pole dance since July 2023 at Plume Air Club, and based on the class descriptions and my abilities, I know that I am at a Level 2 standard for this studio.

From the very beginning, I felt that the instructor did not welcome new students and assumed that new subscribers must automatically be beginners. The instructor, Vane, even told me that because I had never performed the “iguana” move before, I should be placed in Level 1. She also mentioned that her Level 2-3 class is the hardest one, which contradicts the website’s information stating that Level 3 is the highest level.

The instructor’s attitude was discouraging and judgmental, which I found unacceptable. We are not here to take exams, and just because we are learning something for the first time does not mean we should be relegated to a lower level. Moreover, the website does not indicate that the “iguana” move is specifically required for Level 1.

As a paying student, I expect support and guidance during the lessons. It’s normal not to master every movement in a combo right away; that’s precisely why we attend classes—to learn and improve. Unfortunately, the instructor seemed unwilling to provide assistance, which I believe is not fulfilling her role.

I attended a class here run by Taty (Tatyana) and cannot recommend it enough! She taught combos that were challenging but were interesting and the moves flowed logically into each other. She was also able to clearly break down any errors in technique and clearly articulate how to rectify.

The space (Studio 13) was also very inviting with tall poles and good facilities.

Would definitely recommend for anyone in Paris (even if you’re just travelling...

I ve been practicing here since about 4 months (~ 20 classes) and no doubt that it's a great school for pole dancing. Not just the teachers are highly skilled and pedagogical, we can see the passion in their eyes. I have the chance to try many differents teachers here : Geoffroy, Lolo, Selma, Momo... they-are-all-amazingggg.

I just bought the pack of 48 classes and got a good discount for it. Soooo happy. Can't wait to see Geoffroy...
