Nomade — Restaurant in Paris

Nomade is a chilled and relaxed café, even when it’s busy. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, with a variety of seating options for all needs, including a cozy lounge corner where I sat. The space is bright, clean, and inviting.

The service was wonderful—friendly, smiley, and attentive. I found the staff to be both informative and welcoming.

I tried the banana bread, which was delicious, along with their funky and classic espressos—both absolutely superb. The cappuccino was expertly made at the perfect specialty coffee temperature—immediately consumable and enjoyable.

Visited NOMADE Café hoping to get some work done, but was asked to move to special dark back room due to a no-laptop policy on weekends, despite there being at least10 available tables in the main area. It’s ironic for a place named "NOMADE," which should welcome people working from anywhere. On top of that, the coffee was bad, and the cookie was even worse.

When they asked me to move a second time, I just left—it was unbearable. The back room had no natural light, despite it being a hot, sunny day outside.

The staff had no idea how to handle a dissatisfied customer—they just stood there looking puzzled.

Disclaimer: we are American tourists! Having said that, this coffee shop was just what we were looking for. We stayed in the Charonne neighborhood for 2 weeks this year and had trouble finding a place we could get a good coffee, either there or to-go, and a pastry. Most places in Paris aren't focused around to-go options, and only have croissants available for breakfast. I had the drip coffee, which was in the top 3 I've had in my life. I just take my coffee black, and usually coffee is coffee, but here it had a depth and rich complexity of flavor that knocked me off my feet!
