Peppe Pizzeria Paris – World-Class Pizza with True Italian Soul
Peppe Pizzeria has earned a reputation that precedes it, and for good reason. Crowned with the title of “Best Pizza in the World” just a few years ago by international pizza rankings, this Parisian hotspot has become a go-to destination for pizza lovers, locals and tourists alike. Despite the buzz, Peppe manages to remain accessible, welcoming, and authentic, staying true to its roots while delivering a consistently exceptional dining experience.
A Cozy Interior with a Generous Terrace The restaurant itself is not huge, but it’s thoughtfully laid out and has a large terrace that adds ample seating, especially on warmer days. It’s a great space for groups, couples, or casual diners, and the atmosphere strikes a balance between bustling and laid-back. Given its popularity, reservations are strongly recommended, but in our case, we took a chance and were lucky enough to be accommodated without any hassle, a testament to the friendly and efficient service.
Simple, Focused Menu, All About the Pizza The menu is intentionally streamlined, centered around what they do best: pizza. But not just any pizza, Neapolitan-style, wood-fired masterpieces, made with exceptional attention to detail. From the perfectly airy, chewy crust to the vibrant, fresh toppings, every bite confirms the restaurant’s accolades. The selection is broad enough to satisfy different preferences, from traditional Margheritas to more adventurous creations with seasonal ingredients.
Small starters or entrée platters are also available, served in generous, shareable portions. These are great for warming up your appetite while you wait for your main course, though the wait time for pizzas is never excessive, ours arrived in about 15–20 minutes, just enough time to enjoy a drink and some antipasti.
Espresso, Desserts, and Affordability While we didn’t get a chance to try the desserts, the Italian espresso was rich and well-pulled, a fitting end to a satisfying meal. Many other guests speak highly of the tiramisu and other classic Italian sweets, which we'll definitely try on a future visit.
One of the most surprising aspects of Peppe Pizzeria is the affordability. Given the quality of ingredients, the prestige of the restaurant, and the overall experience, prices are very reasonable by Paris standards. You get Michelin-worthy flavors without the Michelin price tag, which is rare and refreshing.
In Summary Peppe Pizzeria Paris lives up to its hype, and then some. With world-class pizza, fresh ingredients, friendly service, and a welcoming setting, it’s a must-visit for anyone looking to experience true Italian flavors in Paris. Whether you’re a pizza purist or an adventurous eater, you’ll find something to love on their menu.
Would I return? Absolutely, and next time, I’m saving room for dessert.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for quality, service, and value.

Read moreThe best pizza in the world? Unfortunately no, but the food is quite tasteful, compared to many other pizzerias in Paris. FOOD: The pizza is a mix between a French, Italian fluffy kind of bread with ingredients on it and would have tasted better if it had been warm. Because the edges are heightened the ingredients stay in the middle of the pizza. The Tiramisu is big, but it lacked the lightness and charm of typical south Italian delight. The best part of the meal was the drink, an Aranciata always steals the show! SERVICE: I almost left. The blonde waitress put me in a separate room, opposite the restrooms, in a corner, which smelled like paint. A very intense smell which immediately affects your lungs. It was like she was keeping me away from the couples and families in the main room. After a short protest a moustached young waiter gave me another table, but I noticed that the smell of paint covered the whole restaurant. In some areas more than others. The waiter was very friendly and saved the day after the impolite welcome. The order arrived quickly, but was cold upon arrival. The black haired pony tailed girl was not friendly without reason, so it really depends who your waiter or waitress is. In conclusion, nice restaurant with decent food and a very nice waiter, but there are a few...
Read morePremise n.1: I had insane expectations for what has been ranked as the best pizza in the world (outside Italy). Premise n.2: when I know I am trying a truly good pizza, I usually get a simple Margherita, to have a fair benchmark, and because I think it's the best way to truly judge the quality of the pizza.
That said, I admit I was initially going to give 4 stars. At first I was a bit disappointed. But then I realized that if I would have randomly found this pizzeria without any expectations, I would have been blown out. So it's a matter of too much hype which can be damaging (not for their pockets, since the place is fully booked for almost one month).
I honestly think it's not the best pizza I've tried, and I wouldn't say it's definitely better than big Mama, but overall it's a fantastic pizza. 4 stars would have been totally unfair. The service was fast and all the staff was super kind and friendly.
I feel I may have missed out by taking a Margherita, because the other more "gourmet" options were very interesting. I'd like to go back and try one of them.
Prices are quite high, but unfortunately in line with Paris.
Overall, great...
