Pianovins — Restaurant in Paris

Pianovins has been in my consciousness since it opened. It is located in my preferred area of Paris, and I was finally able to procure a reservation. Unfortunately, on May 17th, 2022, Paris was experiencing unusually hot and humid weather. This did effect our dinner since Pianovins is not allowed to open their windows due to local regulations, and it does not have air-conditioning. Our dinner was excellent, the set price menu reasonable for the quality of the food. Tables are close together in the Parisian manner, and we had wonderful conversations with the patrons around us. Pianovins is a neighborhood stalwart. The pedigree of the chefs was shown on our plates, and everything tasted very good, with the Sweetbreads the highlight. If you are looking for a nice, sophisticated evening with a friendly atmosphere that won't break the bank; this is the place! I made a reservation when planning my trip to Paris at what I had been told was a lovely bistrot and arrived to find it an elegant dining spot boasting a 2019 Michelin guide sticker on the front. It has a simplistic interior with well placed colourful touches which is just like their food. Simplistic approaches but stunning combinations and each well done. The staff are attentive but friendly.
