As a dedicated patron of Piccolo Mia who has visited multiple times (even twice in one day on occasion), I've consistently enjoyed both the cuisine and service—until my most recent experience.
I was excited to bring my sister, who is visiting from America, to experience what I had described as exceptional dining. Unfortunately, our visit fell dramatically short of expectations.
Upon arrival, we were seated by a server I hadn't met before. A brown young woman with a short bob hairstyle. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, we waited an unusually long time for service while watching the same server promptly attend to tables that arrived after us.
When I finally managed to get her attention to place our order, my request for my usual drink without ice (typically served with an excessive amount that dilutes the flavor) seemed to irritate her. The drinks arrived in noticeably smaller glasses than usual, with the coasters carelessly tossed onto our table without a word.
The final disappointment came when our check arrived without the customary complimentary candies that have accompanied every bill during my numerous previous visits. When I mentioned this oversight, the response was dismissive.
This experience was particularly disappointing given my history as a loyal customer who has enthusiastically recommended Piccolo Mia to friends and family. The contrast between this visit and my previous experiences was stark and troubling.

Read moreThe service was horrible. They forgot our drinks. We asked when will we be served, he said they were cancelled but we are welcome to order again… we decided to leave and that’s when he said loudly “but you should pay me the dessert first”. When we explained what the other waiter said he was like “hmm ok he didn’t tell me”. communication between the waiters is nonexistent and 0 communication skills with us. Not to mention that I was sitting next to a door that they kept closing and opening almost slamming me in the face....

But the moment we stepped into Piccola Mia, the friendly host greeted us warmly and offered us a seat, even though the restaurant was already quite busy. This gesture alone made us feel welcome and appreciated.
The pizza turned out to be a a good surprise, and the burrata and wine were great.
All in all, Piccola Mia turned what could have been a frustrating evening into a memorable one. The combination of good food, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service made it a wonderful choice for a tired couple looking for a...
