R'Yves — Restaurant in Paris

While staying at the Mariott Rive Gauche, I chose to dine at the hotel restaurant R’ Yves the first night. I ordered the Roasted Chicken. The Organic Free Range is all the difference in foundation for the meal , Chef made it sensational with the lovely light sauce and delightful minimal spice . Combined with root vegetables and cabbage, it surpassed my expectations of a Hotel Restaurant dining experience. Thank you Chef for a wonderful meal.

Pranatos ( PrAna-Toos) from Bangladesh EXCEEDED my expectations. He was very personable, sharing with me his home country and 6 years education in London specializing in Hotelier Hospitality. His investment in his education and experience was quite evident and well executed. His friendly welcoming demeanor and kind service reflects his obvious devotion to customer care and satisfaction . Very friendly staff and we were well taken care of by the friendly host whose name begins with F and by the very sweet waitress whose name begins with O.

We arrived and checked into the neighboring Marriott late in the evening and there weren’t any options available nearby without taking a considerable walk which we were simply too tired to do at the time. Initially we were disappointed to be dining at a no frills hotel restaurant during our first night in Paris, but the food wound up being really good and much better compared to two other dining experiences...

Globalement déçu ... J'avais choisi ce restaurant en pensant passer un bon moment ... Une petite attente pour être placé (à côté des courants d'air de la porte alors qu'il y avait de la place), une serveuse qui ne connaît pas trop sa carte de vins, un pain de qualité très moyenne, un couteau à viande donné alors que j'avais presque terminé mon assiette, la carafe d'eau d'une propreté approximative, à 19€ le plat, j'aurais pu être en droit d'avoir des frites maisons et non surgelées, le temps d'attente alors qu'il n'y avait que peu de monde ... Mis à part la qualité de la viande qui était vraiment d'une tendreté exceptionnelle et particulièrement délicieuse, le reste était très moyen. Je n'ai pas compris non plus le concept de proposer un snack à côté du restaurant ... Quant au prix : très élevé pour la prestation et la qualité du repas (à part la pièce de viande). Pour se la jouer à l'américaine et demander un pourboire en amenant l'addition, il faudrait se mettre à leur niveau en terme de service et de rapport qualité prix. Après, je suis peut-être tombé sur un mauvais jour,...
