What can I say! My favorite meal in Paris was at Terronia! The handsome man behind the bar was our master of ceremonies. He waited all the tables, helped us by describing each dish, served our wine and food, and made several rapid deliveries to the chefs who needed more wine. Don’t we all?! The food was spectacular! The entry was tender little meatballs of veal served on a delightful savory conserve of fresh green herbs. Our plat principals of two very different pasta dishes had us dipping our forks into each other’s choice in an attempt to try and determine which was the best....if was like trying to decide which of our sons we loved most. But the best is saved for last! The most sublime tiramisu ever presented. It was light as a cloud, the flavors balanced, each bite a pleasure, So if you ever get to Terronia, tell them you read a review from this crazy North Carolina gal who threatened to kidnap the chef who made that extraordinary tiramisu; keep in him locked in a room with all the ingredients to make me tiramisu everyday for the rest of my life! The chef smiled! Ciao...
Read moreI’m always super skeptical going to an Italian restaurant when it’s not in Italy, but this one was genuinely a beautiful surprise. I have absolutely nothing to complain about hence the 5 stars. The service was attentive, helpful and friendly, the location has a cozy intimate energy, and I was glad that the tables were not the typical small uncomfortable Parisian tables.
We had one appetizer which was simple but can be very easy to mess up if the calamari aren’t fresh and tender. After that we ordered 2 different pasta with fish and they were exceptional. The pasta is home made which you can taste and we also then verified it with the waitress. The sauces that accompanied the pasta were super tasty and well balanced, and I consider myself to be a tough judge when it comes to pasta, but this one really had nothing wrong. To finish we had 2 deserts, both were relatively innovative, with intricate flavors and great quality ingredients.
I strongly suggest this restaurant if you want to eat good Italian, or if you’re Italian like me, have no fear, questo ristorante è come a...
Read moreWhat a wonderful evening! My friend lives just above this restaurant and is a regular, but this was my first time. Lino the owner is an incredibly charismatic, generous personality, and our waiter, Sandro, was lovely and attentive too. The service was pitch perfect, and the food was beautiful. I've never tasted pesto like this before. As someone who avoids meat, I kind of thought "OK, I'll have pesto, sure". But this was flavour on a whole different level. I had no idea linguine and pesto could be this intense and rich. This is authentic food made with love and soul, served by true professionals. The menu is brief, which is always a good sign. Nothing pretentious or over the top, just a few carefully chosen dishes done to perfection and served with warmth. What more...
