The Amateurs — Restaurant in Paris

We went here for dinner and it was not great. We ordered a cheese plate, the cheeseburger, and the steak and fries.

1. The cheese plate was fine. Nothing amazing and French cheese is pretty good even at the low end.
2. The burger was ‘fine’. Bit on the sweet side with the BBQ sauce and a brioche bun. I ordered it without bacon and it came with the bacon anyway. Annoying.
3. The steak was done medium as asked, but the best you could say about it was that it was chewy. Very chewy. Net calorie negative chewy. More poetically you could steal from the bard and say it still had marks from where the jockey was hitting it.

We also had a bottle of wine which was all good, but we did notice, too late, that we were the only people ordering food. So if you want to get some drinks and people watch, go for it. Good location and the staff seemed nice. If you are hungry for food...

First place me and my boyfriend visited while being in Paris and they were super friendly and helpful, they explained the whole menu to us since we don't know french.
