ate here twice, once on the way to Italy from UK buying a takeaway online. not cheap but great choice and really tasty. second time we booked a table. outside there are chalkboards with the set menu price, a very large restaurant possibly seating well over 100. empty when we arrived on a wednesday night at 6:30pm. each table has a QR code, yu scan and get a link to the menu. here we became confused as there were no prices. the waiter spoke little English so went and got someone else who then explained that due to covid they were unable to offer the normal buffet they used to. now you ordered what you wanted from the huge menu and it would be bought to your table by a robot! although his English was ok, we had to clarify what he meant. sure enough, you order anything you want from Sushi, to steamed dumplings, to starters, mains and deserts and after a small wait a cute little robot with inbuilt shelves brings your orders. you just keep on ordering and the food keeps coming. a first for us. teething issues as with all tech, webpage locked me out meaning one of my orders did not reach the kitchen, leaving us in limbo for a while. only 3 robots (i think) so as it filled up they took longer and seemed to get in each others way (although quite amusing) as these are designed to replace staff, when things go pear shaped it is not easy to get some attention. would have been fine if a table of customers with a young kid had not arrived as their kid had learnt that if it made a high pitched scream all the time it got what it wanted. after a 800 mile road trip it was too much for my head so we left. would return though. good food, good price and very interesting...
Read moreYou can enjoy yourself here, especially with family, but do not expect good food. Quick breakdown, most important clues far down: all you can eat concept, fixed price price is pretty low, 21,90 for dinner p.p., young children free online ordering system, robots bring your food. It is fun, but you get used to it. When too busy, staff steps in staff is focused on handling, not service, but they work hard it takes pretty long to get your food, half of it was already cold(er) family friendly we reserved online for 1800, but the restaurant does not open until 1900. We were just turned down... returned later food was just bad, very salty overall, most is warmed up, not fresh (except the sashimi maybe) and tasteless. Dimsum was soggy, scallop skewer bland, shrimps in spicy sauce was just shrimps in tomato sauce, duck dried out, orange chicken was just chicken...
