We ordered a lamb tagine and a fish tagine. The food was presented nicely. However, they were not authentic at all. Lacked the balance of the complex flavours that Moroccan food usually does. And the dishes were quite dry. The semoule felt like from a packet and soaked in water, instead of steamed. The tagine dishes were old and need a good clean.. Service was poor. No water for the table just empty glasses. Slow with attending to tables. Very friendly staff who were accomodating despite the fact that we had no reservation and spoke no English. Me and my boyfriend ordered couscous with lamb and a side of the housewine from Morocco. The meat was so tender it would practically fall off the bone, and the wine was a suprise; we have never tasted something like that before, and will definitely look up more moroccan wines from now on. Read moreWe waited 40 minutes to get to the point of choosing our food and drink as we seemed to have been forgotten. We then discovered the food we would like for starter wasn't available. This all became a bit awkward. However, the staff tried to make up for this by giving us another starter to share and were far more attentive. The wine was great. The food was pretty good although I have had tastier tagines.
Over all it was an enjoyable lunch. The experience didn't start well but a nice bottle of wine and the staff's gestures resulted in us feeling we came out of it all...
