Le Khédive — Restaurant in Saint-Denis

We asked for coffee; they claimed not to have hot coffee so we settled for "cafe glaces." The iced coffees came and they had sugar in them; we did not ask for sugar in our coffee. I requested a black iced coffee. We never received the black iced coffee. Afterwards we were charged 4.5 euros each for "cafe vietnamien;" we had no idea that we were ordering Vietnamese coffee (it has no condensed milk, for what it's worth). This did not live up to the bare minimum...

A friend found this restaurant while taking a stroll, and told us it was great. So we went as a group of 8 and sat on the terrace, right in front of the Basilica. It was hot outside, but the food and service were great. Overall, great experience! Whether you're here to see dead kings, or eat good food, this is very pertinent...

Opposite to Basilique de Saint-Denis there are several restaurants with terraces. Le Khédive is the closest and perhaps the largest. And that is probably why it also is the most popular.
