Although English , we live in France and I chose this hotel mostly for it's location . Unfortunately I booked it six hours before the lockdown earlier this year . We then moved our booking date twice .. Which was no problem for the hotel . I booked a sea view with a BIG double bed (room 220 on the second floor ) ||On arrival , we easily found a parking space ... right next to the hotel . The hotel is modern with a lovely veranda outside . Booking in was efficient and we received a form to pre order breakfast the next morning .. Was very pleased to find checking out time was twelve noon .. and we could have breakfast as late as 10 am .We dumped our bags and made our way to the outside area where we soon realised that there was only one waiter .. who not only delivered the drinks but made them up .... We weren't in any hurry ... and amid storm Alex (?? ).. we sat in blazing sunshine .||The room was spotlessly clean , with a great view. Added bonus was the electric shutter which cut out any noise when we slept . A very small issue with breakfast ... as we ticked the ' summer fruits ' (??) option ... to expect a small bowl of various fresh fruits ... only to be presented with a peach each ?? . It might have been our mistake though .. other than that breakfast was nice .||Deciding that evening that the weather had turned we decided to eat in the hotel . Superb food ,... excellent service .In the morning the tide had come in , illustrating a whole new view of the bay between Dinard and St. Malo ( which can be accessed via a water taxi )....All in all , a great break ..... Other than the service outside , the whole experience was great .. and we plan to go back . P.S. Very dog...

Read moreHotel booked for our anniversary week end, based on the fantastic stay at the AR INIZ hotel earlier this year.|Our whole stay at the hotel was a big disappointment, down to staff attitude and poor customer service|Saturday evening we booked a table when we checked into hotel. Upon arriving at 7.30 we were told no reservation had been made. We were told to wait until sorted, making us feel a bit like 2nd class clients|Waiter then tried to be jokey, he said he would serve me and get a colleague to serve my wife. This made my wife very uncomfortable|When I booked the hotel (May 25th) I specifically mentioned the anniversary and asked for a table reservation for the Sunday 2nd October at 2000hrs. No-one came back to me to say the restaurant was closed that evening. |On check in it was confirmed a booking had been made in the restaurant for the Sunday. |It was only after very poor service and attitude on the Saturday night we decided to check the Sunday evening booking, only to be told by the receptionist the restaurant was closed, someone booked it for Sunday lunch. Not us. The only response from her, when we asked where we could eat, was a shrug, nothing she could do. Again an example of poor customer service.|This left us walking around Dinard looking for somewhere to eat on our anniversary.|This alone has made me question whether I would stay in any other hotels within the AR Collection...
