I don’t “hate” this place but I had a horrible experience and that is what I am reviewing. I think they can, and should, do better. I arrived to an open door but was told to wait outside for 4 minutes until they opened. Immediately after stepping outside a group of four entered and placed an order to go. When I reentered a humorless host literally pointed to a table in the corner next to the kitchen, it had a lovely fire extinguisher protruding from the wall into my seating space. I had to turn and straddle the leg of the table to avoid it. (Mind you, I was the only person in the restaurant, but apparently a single diner is not worthy of occupying a comfortable table). I was then informed that I had to order off an extremely limited 3 item menu because of “la Route du Rhum”; I begrudgingly ordered the lamb and when I added pakora, raita and naan to my order the server told me it was “too much food” which I found odd….and a little rude. A few minutes later a couple came in and sat next to me but asked to order off the regular menu, and the server complied without hesitation. When my lamb arrived it was bland, which I’ve never said about an Indian meal in my life, and the texture was awful …..they also committed the unforgivable offense of forgetting my naan. I did not order a drink or dessert and paid 34€!!! I have been eating here for years, but I will try other Indian restaurants in the area before returning…..and I’ll probably wear a disguise because I know the owner reads these reviews. But the fact that I’ve been coming here for years and was treated like this shows the lack of rapport they have with their clientele. Finalement, quand quelqu’un parle Français avec vous, c’est impoli de...
