Falls short. My wife and I visited Rancho this for the most part we were disappointed. It started well enough as we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Water was ordered and forgotten. 10 mins later cocktails were ordered and delivered promptly, still no water. We reminded our server and received it immediately. To note it was 7pm on a Sunday and about half full. We then ordered the caprese salad, my wife the salmon and the ribeye for myself(my first 2 choices were sold out). Bread arrived within 5 mins of ordering which was ok nothing special. The salad was delivered in what felt like an appropriate amount of time and was delicious. After that the wheels fell off. We waited another 90 mins for our meals to finally arrive. All the while being bitten by mosquitoes as there was barely a breeze. The salmon was tasty enough but massively overcooked and the ribeye was also tasty but really fatty and not in the good way. We ate enough to no longer be starving, paid and left. On an island where you can have your choice of incredible food nearly everywhere Rancho falls woefully short. The only ones who had a good meal there tonight were the...
Read moreI have been going to Oyster Bay for 20 years and have driven by this place a million times until now. Big mistake. It is awesome. Great view of the ocean afar. Comfortable seating in and out, and a menu that will satisfy anyone's palate. It is on the French side, but do not be deterred, as staff speak English in case you were wondering. They take credit cards which is important for the post-storm and COVID times. As for the food....I can only speak to the chicken spring rolls (which I had at another fine French restaurant at Friars Bay beach)...and they are TASTY, and are the bomb. I had the Chimichanga which was great and filling and my wife had the Tuna Tartare which was also yummy and tasty if you are into that type of cuisine. They have a plethora of pizzas, steaks, fish etc...and had just about everything for everyone. After my first experience, I WILL ABSOLUTELY RETURN. My only bad is not going sooner. Sorry Rancho Del Sol. Thanks for the experience. Also, the experience...for you Americans....is unrushed and relaxed....chill dudes. See you...
Read moreI visited Rancho del Sol on Father's Day with my son. Unfortunately, the outing didn't turned out as expected. We arrived just around 1:15 pm and was seated about 1:30. Our order was taken shortly after, but did not receive our lunch until almost 3:00 pm. We were there waiting so long that the waitress, a Spanish speaking person, thought we had finished our lunch. We then told her we didn't even receive it as yet. We were not asked, if we wanted something to drink. The most hurtful part was to see the amount of people, who came after us, and were served before us. My son wanted to walk out when they finally came with the food. When I asked the waiter, who has taken our order, why the order had taken so long? His excuse was, they had a very busy day. However, the waiter who did bring our food when asked he said, it was a miscommunication. The only time that we saw the waiter that was suppose to serve us, was when he took our order and when he brought our check.
Conclusion, very, very poor service!!!! The food was not even hot when we got...
