Le Sud - Restaurant & Pool Bar — Restaurant in Saint Martin (France)

We LOVED our dinner at Le Sud. This was our 4th trip to the island and we have eaten all over at various hotels, beach clubs and nice restaurants in grand case and orient bay. This was by far one of our most delicious and enjoyable dining experiences.

The ambience is relaxed but fun, and we were lucky to dine on a night with live music, which was fantastic. The food was delicious, we got the ceviche and foie gras, and the steak and lobster pasta for mains. Each bite was a delicious flavor explosion, and a great mix of local foods and French fine dining.

Most of all we appreciated the staff who were all so friendly, but worked quickly and efficiently all night. Special shoutout to Natalie our one of a kind bartender and Remy who made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Definitely stand out on the island for the fun friendly service. We ate VERY well on Saint Martin, and Le Sud blew everything else away. Unfortunately we didn't eat here until our last night, but it made for the most perfect final meal. The food was absolutely delicious - we had a squid special appetizer, the pork special, and a sea bass on the regular menu. Each dish was exceptional. The sea bass is one of my favorite fish preparations ever, and the pork was divine with a red wine reduction sauce I could drink with a straw. The highlight of our visit to Orient Bay in 2025!! The atmosphere, with a bar and tables around a beautiful pool is unbeatable and Nathalie is the star of the show behind the bar!!! She creates an environment that is convivial and fun for all. The menu is great, the staff in their 'jammies' are all friendly and fun, and the food is some of the best we've had...on par with anything you will Grand Case.
