I had the pleasure of dining at Le Vivier de la Mer during two nights of my recent five-day stay in the area, and it proved to be a delightful culinary experience. The restaurant offered a diverse menu with a good selection of choices, and the quality of the food was consistently high.
One minor aspect to note is that the menu descriptions could benefit from better translation. On the first night, the dish we received was slightly different from what was initially described, leading to some initial confusion. However, this minor discrepancy did not overshadow the overall positive experience, and it actually intrigued us, prompting us to revisit the restaurant for a second time. It would be beneficial for Le Vivier de la Mer to enhance the accuracy of their menu translations to avoid any confusion for future diners.
Both the staff and fellow guests at Le Vivier de la Mer were friendly and accommodating, fostering a welcoming atmosphere throughout our dining experiences. It's worth mentioning that the service at the restaurant operates at its own pace, so it may not be the ideal choice if you're in a hurry. However, if you have the luxury of time to savor your meal and enjoy a leisurely dining experience, Le Vivier de la Mer provides a comfortable setting to do so.
In summary, Le Vivier de la Mer offered a delightful dining experience during my stay in the area. The menu provided a good selection of choices, and the food consistently delivered on quality. Despite minor translation discrepancies in the menu descriptions, the overall experience was positive. The friendly staff, accommodating atmosphere, and unique pace of service contributed to the restaurant's charm. I would recommend Le Vivier de la Mer to those seeking a memorable and flavorful dining experience...
Read moreFood was delicious. The only thing that let this place down was unfortunately the service. Whilst it started off well, I was seen to very quickly. However it took them 30 mins to clear my plate and give me a menu for dessert. Then took then 30 mins for me to order the french toast dessert. Followed by a 40 minute wait for it. I was tempted to just pay the bill and leave but ended up waiting through it. Whilst the French toast was delicious, I couldn't help feeling I waited up to an hour for it and decided it wasn't worth it.
The pasta was significantly smaller than anticipated despite costing 27 EUR. Overall, meal cost 40 EUR with a coke. You can decide whether it...
Read moreI made a reservation easily with no issue on fork site. The restaurant is pretty small and very close to hotels. I took ousters as a starter and they were fresh and ok. Then razor clams which were cooled with butter and persillade was nothing special. I took then a risotto with scalops, asparugus and shrimp. The risotto was not tasting as sea food but rather of milk or something similar, where they just added the seafood on top. To finish i took a crumble of lemon and it was horrible, i found a dead insect inside and i couldnt finish unfortunatelly. Overall it started well and finished...
