Le Point De vue — Restaurant in Sarlat-la-Canéda

This place has an amazing view overlooking the Dordogne which we enjoyed while having dinner. It was also the time when the hot air balloons were flying over us, it was a great thing to see. The service is quite informal, the food is OK. There are 3 meal options in the Menu enfant.

Worth mentioning the toilets! Clean, with toilet paper, soap and tissue to dry hour hands. Something so normal becomes a rare find when travelling! We spent 57€ (2 adults, 1 child, no dessert, with a beer...

A true tourist trap! And So much for the "service non-stop" that has nothing to offer after 3 pm (excepts for drinks). Rude and very aggressive waitress. She made it very clear that she was not ready to do her job because she was alone and did not have her lunch yet. Il était 14:30 quand l’envie nous vint de nous restaurer… Plusieurs tentatives infructueuses chez des concurrents qui ne prenaient même pas la peine de mettre la forme ou un peu d’empathie dans leur réponse négative. Puis nous sommes arrivés sur leur terrasse par l’arrière du village et nous avons compris de par la façon de nous accueillir que nous allions passer un bon moment. Petite question en cuisine pour confirmer, puis nous avons été installés et servis de façon très courtoise, efficace et rapide. Nous avons goutté à plusieurs spécialités locales et les glaces artisanales étaient tout simplement divines par cette grosse chaleur. Le choix des produits fait la différence et pas une seule personne du service n’a gâté cette bonne impression. Nous tenions moi et mes amies à leur témoigner notre reconnaissance et à leur adresser nos encouragements à continuer sur cette lancée.
