Sawadee Restaurant — Restaurant in Sarlat-la-Canéda

I love Thai food and have eaten at Thai restaurants all over the world. This is, without a doubt, one of the best. Prices are low to mid range, not rock bottom, so we only come here about once a year, but it's a rare and magnificent treat when we do. Unlike most of the restaurants in this price range around Sarlat, the food is prepared on the premisis and it's completely authentic. They don't pander to the French horror of spicy food, either - but at the same time there are lots of things on the menu that children can eat. An excellent choice for any meal, and takeaway is an option. If you like Thai food, don't miss out...

A favourite restaurant of mine, because the Thai cuisine offered up there is made by a native Thai team in the kitchen and it shows on the plate. Always tasty, always fresh ingredients, good size portions, and a cosy and relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy all that yummy Thai food. Great value for money. We all love this little restaurant. Actually it’s not that little as it is quite deep inside. The restaurant is open in the winter and early fall and it is closed for the winter and most of spring. The owners leave for Thailand in those times then come back towards the summer and the hustle and bustle starts all over again. The food is really good here, even our friends from the states come over and say it’s the best Thai food they’ve ever had. Highly recommend...
