I don’t know what was more disturbing about the experience we had in this “restaurant”… The fact that the stuff was totally disinterested in providing a good service and meal. The fact that we had to eat in smell of chlorine and when we told them to change the table to escape the smell a guy came out with some dezinfectant and began to clean the tables around us making the smell unbearable. The food that was disgusting, my steak ordered medium came raw even after the second try… The fact that was dirty and bags of leftovers everywhere inside. We just paid and left leaving 80% of the food untouched. We had the impression due to our experience so far that in Corsica and especially in Bonifacio the fine food and good service is everywhere. We had prebooked and said that we had some vegans in our party which they said they could accommodate but when ordering the waitress said they had nothing suitable, the vegan burger actually contained egg in the falafel! Those of us who ate: our food wasn’t that hot (evidently microwaved), pasta was soggy and over cooked and the food wasn’t tasty. When we sent a meal back it was returned within a couple of minutes (the cheese on the pasta showed it had been through the microwave). Honestly, avoid. it’s situated just by the gates and is a tourist trap. We went in for drinks and told food only. So decided to leave and try elsewhere. A fan bald guy (presumably the owner) eating in the next table decided to belly laugh extremely loud when we got up to leave, bringing it to the attention of the whole restaurant. From what I’ve read it seems this restaurant doesn’t care about bad reviews as they probably gets lots of passing trade.
Note they had a policy on their menu charging €12 extra for everyone who doesn’t eat, they charge you for not having anything
