Restaurant La Manichella — Restaurant in Sartène

Le service aujourd'hui a été indiscutable.

We (2 young ladies and myself) arrived for an early lunch, and were told the crêpe oven will be ready within 15 minutes.

Thus we went for a café au lait to surpass the waiting time.

30 minutes later, the waiter started to put silver on the neighboring tables - He never asked for our orders!

After taking orders from three other tables of American tourists from the cruise ship in town who took place way later than us, we politely indicated that we would finally like to place our order.

Apparently lackluster, we were eventually given menus.

Still, nobody ever showed up to take orders. To the contrary, we felt outright ignored for no apparent reason.

Finally, after more than 50 minutes of waiting, and seeing all the other customers being served, we decided to leave and started to collect the coins (no tip!) for the café au laits. So, two waiters suddenly appeared to take our orders.

We told them, that we felt we had waited way too long, and left.

This was my third visit at La Machinella, and it will be the last for...

Wir waren zu zweit dort, leider wurde das bestellte Essen meines Partners zweimal "vergessen". Beim dritten Mal nachfragen war ich schon lange mit meinem Essen fertig, der Kellner entschuldigte sich und meinte, er habe es zwar gehört aber nicht aufgeschrieben. Zwei Mal... Außerdem kannte der Kellner den Unterschied zwischen vegan und vegetarisch leider nicht, versicherte mir auf anfängliche Rückfrage aber standhaft, dass die Aubergine Bonifacienne vegan sei. Parmesan und aller anderer Käse sind aber leider nunmal schlicht nicht vegan, daher ging meine erste Bestellung zurück. Die Gemüsepasta mit Tomatensoße, die er mir als Ersatz brachte, war dann zwar OK und ohne Parmesan auch vegan, aber tatsächlich geschmacklich eher unterer Durchschnitt. Bis ich das Gericht dann seeeehr langsam aufgegessen hatte, war das vergessene Essen meines Freundes natürlich immernoch nicht da... Wir haben dann bezahlt, es gab viele Entschuldigungen und auch einen Rabatt auf die Endrechnung, aber dieses vollkommen verpatzte Dinner zu zweit macht das natürlich nicht wieder wett. Schade, wenn man genau einen Abend an einem so schönen Ort verbringt und einem das gemeinsame Dinner vom Restaurant so verkorkst wird.

After walking in the heat and enjoying the town of bonifactio, we wanted to sit down for a drink. We ordered our drinks and also asked for a bit of water for our dog.
