Read moreWe always used to think this was one of the very best boulangeries in the area. However, just recently we think it has maybe become a victim of it's own success. It is always very busy and now has pavement tables in addition. Our last two vists have been disappointing; we bought croissants which were undercooked and very soggy in the centre. We returned a week later and bought a Brioche Feuilletee (which isn't cheap). We were so looking forward to eating it but sadly it was so undercooked as to be almost inedible. As we are 18 kilometres away we couldn't get back immediately to complain. We will not visit again.Very sad to be writing...
Read moreWe cycled to Saumur from Montsoreau this morning, parked the bikes by St Peter's Church and walked towards the nearby square. We were hungry and spotted this fabulous Boulangerie where we bought filled baguettes and coffee, sat outside eating, watching the world go by, many participants in the ongoing retro velo festival and a wonderful wedding.
