Le Comptoir du Siam (Thaï) — Restaurant in Saumur

Amazing Thai food at this very modest looking restaurant set just off the main ‘restaurant’ square in the centre of Saumur. We tried the Prawn soup and chicken satay skewers for starters and then had a red Thai curry and chicken with cashew nut stirfry for main course. The food was delicious and well presented. The service was very quick between courses - could have done with an extra 10 minutes to let the starter go down! Would recommend to anyone who enjoys...

Nous sommes allés dîner dans ce restaurant un samedi soir, lors du week-end Anjou Vélo Vintage. Nous avons très bien mangé, mais par contre nous avions l'impression de déranger ! Notre apéritif pris à moitié, nous avons eu notre entrée. Soit. L'entrée à peine terminée, nous avons eu notre plat. Celui-ci à peine terminé également, on nous a amené l'addition, nous n'avons pas pu commander de dessert ni de café ! On nous a poussé vite fait vers la sortie. C'est dommage car nous avons bien mangé, les saveurs étaient là. Mais quand on est pressé on ouvre un fast-food, pas un restaurant traditionnel. Pad Thai and spring rolls were really good. Thai curries were ok but not very generous portions - they did have proper Thai aubergine though. Service was average. A bit overpriced in general but not many Asian food...
