I wanted to try some local Toulouse food and the hotel staff recommended me to visit this shop which is near the hotel. First look when I got to the shop it looks pretty interesting from the facade looks like a romantic cafe. I walked into the shop it wasn't busy at all, there was only another customer buying items so I took my time to look at the display and see the items available. There was quite a variety of items available, both sweet and savoury and all looks pretty delicious to me. I asked the female staff for some recommendation but she couldn't understand English so I had to use a translation app. I asked her to recommend me something savoury and she recommended me this tomato and potato puff. It was nice that she heated up the pastry which made it tasty. I wanted to try some of the local pastries, like the Croustade aux pommes. Unfortunately it was available but I couldn't try as they only sell it as a whole pie and not in single slices. I managed to try the Fenetra Tart and the Violettes which I would say its recommended to give a try as it is quite unique never seen it elsewhere. Prices here are quite reasonable as well. It is quite centrally located which is near the Jeanne-d' Arc...

Food: Financier was very properly done. Really strong almond and it's got a unique flavour from the combination of ingredients. Textbook stuff Pomponnette Citrus aroma bread was fine Fenetra is their local specialty. The pastry is slightly dry, quite airy and has a very strong crunch on the outside. Then the inside of the pastry has some bite. Filling is sugared citrus rind which was not too sweet. Overall quite unique and worth a try for sure, the texture of the pastry in particular is something I've never had before
Noix(Walnut fudge) was sweet, the walnut taste is quite pronounced which was good(or at least as pronounced as walnut products can be)
Flan was legit, pastry layer at the bottom was thin but crunchy.
Overall high standards throughout, making it...
