An authentic Mexican taqueria in Toulouse ! Who would have thought ?? Great vegetarian napalito (cactus) tacos (or vegan if you ask for no cheese) covered in fresh cilantro and several types of Mexican beer. This is the only place I have been to in France with real corn tortillas (corn, lime salt, that is all and 12cm small as they should be), fresh - not nasty old el paso type fake ones full of other ingredients. Delicious !
In the past I have been so very horribly disappointed with bland mis-directed French attempts at Mexican food or those horrible trendy "Tex Mex" places - this is NOT Tex Mex. It is real Mexican food. Delicious salsas (2 different ones were offered and they were very different to the Mexican salsas I'd had in the USA and really good - one very spicy and one more mild) accompany the tacos or quesadillas, and you can get a little menu with black beans and rice also on the side. You can also order the tacos one by one and see how many it takes to fill you up :-)
Tiny place with some indoor and some outdoor seating, very casual and easy to visit if you are travelling on your own as there is also "bar" style seating along the counter. Friendly owners and fun Mexican decorations and bright colours on the walls and usually some Mexican music playing in the background. The wife is from Mexico and has been living in France a few years with her husband (who is not Mexican and now I can't remember if he is French or another nationality) - they are a very nice team and the...

The food is delicious and absolute treat that we have become a regular here. Everything is fresh, flavourful and served warm. We have tried the nachos, burritos, tacos and quesadillas. Everything bursts with flavours. The sauces are made in house. For drinks, I recommend Margarita Roja and Michelada. If you like tangy and spicy, you must try Michelada. Everyone who works there seems to love what they do. Christina who took our orders was...
Read moreNot sure about this one. Nice staff, definitely fun atmosphere, price OK, but I felt it was for really for people in their 20s who want a half an hour eating experience before moving on to a bar. The food is served on sort of trays with compartments a bit like (80's) school dinners, and I couldn't see where they were cooking it. The quesadilla... de queso was just a tortilla wrap with some melted cheese in it! But it's authentic for sure - I heard a Mexican chap next to me say to - and I liked the...
