I don't think I've been to another restaurant in Georgia with better food+atmostphere. The decor was so beautiful. Food was beyond expectations. So happy to be finally somewhere with enough AC and clean environment. Everything was perfect except for the service. There were about 3 or 4 tables of people total and so many waiters but most of them were unsure what to do. Some of the waiters really push you for either ordering more or ordering more expensive things, which I understand is important to them, and maybe it can be even helpful when someone really doesn't know what they want and need recommendations, but for someone like me who knew exactly what I wanted, that was really annoying. Especially because every pushy waiter also gives you a bit of attitude after you don't accept what they are pushing to you. I'm here to eat what I want, not what you want. Okay? If money is a problem, then raise the prices. Don't have pushy waiters. Why have so many items on the menu if you're only supposed to order only few things that the waiters or perhaps the restaurant want you to order? What's the point of the menu even? Also, when we were ready to order, we waited so long for someone to come take our order (so many waiters and not a lot of customers but they are somehow just standing and never there when you need them) but then when one waiter finally came to us, he was giving attitude and "Are you going to order or not?" Excuse me, we've been waiting to order all this time? You are literally the "waiter" you are supposed to wait on us, not the other way around. The total of our bill between 2 persons was between 150 and 160 gel and maybe this isn't enough money to take from 2 persons for the restaurant, considering that they had live music and paying wages to so many waiters. But why should we order random things that don't interest us, or order more when we are full, just for the restaurant to make enough money? My suggestion for the restaurant would be to raise prices instead of giving this kind of service. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to people and visit again, but the service needs to...
Read moreVisit the place on July 21, 2024, for dinner. We were frequent guests here, but unfortunately, I have to say that it has gotten considerably worse over time. The waitstaff is poorly organized, with 2 or 3 types of waiters based on their uniforms and 2 types of hostesses, yet getting attention or placing an order takes a long time. By the end, I still did not understand who my waiter was. It was very chaotic.
The food was disappointing. The khinkali was just okay, but the rest was not good. The waiter did not follow our wishes regarding the potatoes, the meat was dry and flavorless, and the salad, which is hard to spoil, was bland. The cherry on top was when, at the end, yet another type of waiter asked how the meal was. As I started answering, his phone rang, and he left mid-conversation.
Overall, the place has become a quick cash grab, lost its authenticity, and turned into a tourist-oriented money-making machine, which I guess isn't that bad for the owners. I'm not sure anyone will pay attention to this review or even read it, so all the best to them! As for the visitors, avoid the place—it's not worth the...
Read moreTo be honest, the Georgian House Hotel is more like a hostel in term of hotel standards, 1- We booked 2 rooms, one double bed room and one twin room, rooms were okay, clean, tidy but there was nothing in the fridges, no water, no drinks nothing at all, so bare that in mind and buy water and drinks if you want. 2- Breakfast, hmmm, there is nothing to say about it really because there was nothing at all, only bread, cheese and butter with coffee. 3- Location, the location of the place is great, a 20 minute walk to all the places you want and there is a 24/7 super market that provides everything, local bakerys with good quality breads and sweets. 4- Staff, they were friendly and they gave us a great lot of information about the city, tourist traps, good restrunts, places to visit, except one of them they all speaked English very well. 4-Overall, if you don't care about the things that I mentioned above like Breakfast then this is a great place to stay in...
