ORA MAKASHVILEBTAN — Restaurant in Tbilisi

This was weird and heartbreaking. I‘ve been to this restaurant a couple of times before and thought that it was a decent place.

But yesterday we got some extremely bad service: the waiter brought a version of salad that was not on the menu, without cheese and sauce. When I asked was that the salad I‘ve ordered, he said that was a different one, not on the menu, but for the same price (???). I asked for the one I‘d ordered and after a few minutes he brought me two slices of cheese without saying anything. Then I got my tolma without sour cream (which is stated as one of the ingredients in the menu). When asked why, he said that he didn’t know the reason. After I asked for the second time, he just replied that he thought they were out of sour cream. Then I asked him to ask the kitchen anyway, he returned with sour cream, again not saying anything at all. Then when we got the bill he first asked if I could transfer the money as a private transfer. I refused and he went for the terminals, but somehow (???) both of them didn’t work for any of the card we had. So we ended up transferring the money. Only after that I checked the bill more thoroughly and realized that he added the wrong wine (not the one I ordered), which was of course more expensive.

This was the worst service in my life, it ruined the dinner and the next couple of hours. Never going back and will not recommend anyone.

The food was good though, I probably should mention that. It is...

Good: nice space, like in an old big apartment, cozy courtyard, good music (unobtrusive and soft). That's where the pros end.

Bad: the prices in the restaurant are higher than the prices on the website (apparently they added 10% for service)

the service left me with the feeling that I came as an uninvited guest and it was from the category "well, ok, we'll give you something to eat". sat down at a table, and there was a dirty tablecloth. They shook it off and sat down, don't be capricious. In general, no hospitality, smiles, just acceptance of you as a guest. The dishes were put down silently, no one took away the dirty dishes and bottles until the end of the evening + we had a lot of food left and they didn't let us take it with us, saying that there were no containers and let's leave already.

the food is not particularly tasty. did not impress me at all! the chicken in chashushuli was burnt, the lobio was unsalted and bland - impossible to eat. the only thing that was ok was the cucumber and tomato salad, but even here they deceived us and didn't put three pieces of cheese on top for each serving.

Will I go there again? No, and I don't...

Unfortunately, my experience at your restaurant did not meet my expectations. The portion sizes of the dishes were unexpectedly small, which did not correspond to the prices listed on the menu. Specifically, three pieces of Mtsvadi, which cost 26 GEL, are definitely not an adequate price for the given portion size. When I brought this issue to the waiter's attention, they told me that the portions are calculated by weight and that this is completely normal. However, I believe this does not meet the customer's expectations and the price. Several dishes from the menu were unavailable. For example, the Mexican potatoes were not available, and the waiter explained that they had run out of potatoes. When the menu is already limited, especially for a birthday celebration, it is essential that all dishes are available. The delivery of the dishes was significantly delayed. I had to remind the waiter multiple times to bring my order, which is definitely not an acceptable...
