Here's my experience. The pizza and coffee were excellent. However, I have never been so insulted in all my life in a restaurant, especially as I am 56 years of age.
The first guy that served me was very nice. He went off for a break, no problem with that. I hadn't fully finished my meal and was intending to order more. Whereupon this other young guy server came up to me, asking if I could pay. I told him I had not finished yet and could he give me some time. No problem I thought, end of story.
The next thing that happened is the second server, a young women, came to my table and damanded payment. I asked her why? She then proceeded to tell me that they thought I MIGHT RUN OFF WITHOUT PAYING! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Very insulting and essentially accusing me of being a thief.
Maybe Pizza Di Roma have had problems with this in the past but the act of walking off without paying would be more likely committed by the local Georgian young population, as opposed to foreigners who reside in Georgia, like myself for the past three years and especially at 56 years old.
Conclusion. As said, the first guy who served me was excellent and when I told him the problem, he was extremely apologetic and embarrassed. My advice to Pizza Di Roma is be very careful who you hire when dealing with foreigners, especially in the City Mall location as it is mostly foreigners who are spending their hard earned cash there. Basically, don't hire an uneducated young Georgian nationalist because you will lose...
Read moreIf you have a whole afternoon to spend in the restaurant while waiting your order, go on. It’s your place. I had the longest lunch of my life in Pizza Di Roma (55 min of waiting my order + only 5 min of eating). When we entered to restaurant, they gave us a menu with several options. After checking 5 min we ordered a soup and a pasta. Ops ! No soup, no pasta. They forgot to tell us that they only have pizza. We changed it to pizza, and ordered 2 ordinary ones. They said it will take 20 to 25 min. We have waited for 55 minutes (literally)! The table next to us came also to eat pasta. After 10 min they chose their dish, the server told them that they have only pizza. And they left the restaurant (lucky guys). Another table, like us, insisted to wait for their order. But they could resist 30 min. After a small discussion, they paid for the drinks and they left. The most funny thing after all is that, they added 15% for the service!! Seriously:) They made us wait for 55 min then added 15% for the magnificent service. While we were waiting for our pizza, there were only 3 tables. During one hour that we sitted there, the restaurant prepared maybe 10 different order as take away. They didn’t even think to prioritize the clients who are sitting in front of them but they kept sending take away orders. I have never commented for a restaurant on google. It’s my first time. Pizza di Roma is the worst service I have ever seen in my life who deserved a first time comment from...
Read moreThe service was terrible, we had to wait for a table, and when one became available none of the waitresses went to clear it, we were able to sit down after 10 minutes. Then we ordered a baked carbonara, when it was brought to us it was a complete mismatch with the photo on the menu, it tasted empty. Moreover they put a tomato on top of this, it seems like they just put cheese, ham (not bacon), and a tomato on top of the pasta and baked it. I also ordered a salad, firstly, it was on their bar for about 20 minutes, which made the initially tasteless chicken even worse. Secondly, the order did not match the photo or the menu, and the avocado was simply placed in large chunks on top. When they brought and took away the dishes, the waitresses were constantly displeased with something, they didn't smile, and they looked at us as if they were annoyed, especially the girl with dark pulled back hair. The prices were average, and the only delicious food was the pizza, thank you for that in an...
