So far worst sushi experience.
We are a group of two, walk in with no reservation, talked to a server and was told to sit anywhere we can find.
Waited for about 5 minutes for anyone to ask us if we want all you can eat or single order, and Waited another 5 minutes for a tablet and introduction of concept.
The ordering is quite easy, 5 items per round, 1 minute wait between each round, no other limits. Which is quite fair.
The menu is really small for a 30 euro dinner, was expecting more selection for this price range but overall would say 30 euros probably worth the price tag.
The food items on the other hand was questionable. Though fish is relatively fresh, there are fish scales on the plate beside the nigiri. The veggies in the inside out roll are just sliced up fresh veggies, instead fresh lightly pickeld, making all the rolls taste the same, tasteless. The only sushi I find in general okay are the grilled nigiri.
The warm dishes offered is also a disaster, gyoza are deepfried instead of pan fried, the shrimp tempura is store bought, also though ordered buldak gyoza, only normal chicken dumplings are served, the sweet potato fries was shown to be a small plate, but got a gigantic serving instead. Worst of all, all deep fried products though freshly fried, but can taste the bad oil used to make it.
Service is so far the worst. We were served mixed dipping sauce for sushi, despite we asked for ginger soysauce and wasabi. We have to wait 15 minutes and twice asking to have soysauce and ginger on our table. We didnt get wasabi until the middle of second round after asking for 4 times. They legit asked me to dig the ginger dish in front of them to prove I dont have wasabi??? We ordered ice cream for desert, 5 minutes after ordering a waiter approach us and say he doesn't know what we ordered and asked us to order with him. Then we waited 15 minutes without anything, and has to stop another waitress to know one of the flavors we ordered is not available. We got the ice cream very quickly after that, but lowkey I think I might get diarrhea or stomachache from that, the ice cream tastes powdery, dont know if its freezer burnt, overly diluted or passed date. Don't want to cause an issues, so still finished it despite it tastes awful.
Its the first time I visited a restaurant and left feeling like a survivor. Came to the restaurant trying to support the owner due to her tik tok stories. But I do understand why she got all the hate after eating there once myself.
Would recommend if you want to fill yourself up, not caring about what you are eating. But if you expect good food and dining experience, would...
Read moreI recently dined at Tokyo Sushi and had an incredibly disappointing experience. Despite reserving a table for 5, we were initially given a table for 4. After this was sorted out, we proceeded to order our first round of their "all you can eat" offer, which claims to include 10 rounds of 5 portions per person. The first round was fine but the sushi was mediocre at best. For those who have never had sushi before, it might taste okay, but anyone familiar with good sushi will likely find it as bad as I did.
While the first round was acceptable, the experience quickly deteriorated. The second round arrived very late, and only half of it was served. We waited for the rest so everyone could start eating together, but after feeling defeated and contacting the waitress, we decided to split the portions that had arrived. The third and fourth rounds never showed up, leaving us sitting there for 2.5 hours. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, we were told we could remain seated since they usually ask people to leave if they stay that long. I found this rule baffling given their incompetence in delivering the ordered food on time.
In the end, they offered a discounted meal, which was necessary as we hardly ate enough to call it "all you can eat," nor was it worth the original price of 30€. Was it worth the experience? No. Was it worth my time? Absolutely not. This place gets 1 star for the discount, but overall, I cannot...
