Hi, all I want to express a situation happened today morning in this hotel. We were doing breakfast with my family. There was a machine had water in it. I simply wanted to have hot water. When I realised it wasn’t hot, I left it in the stand. The lady in the reception has came to our table and asked why it is extra and if she has to serve me one? It was a mean and unnecessary treatment to your guest. Hope this will be learned! I’m answering regarding the reply I just got. She came to the table not only asking but to ask for an accounting. She has streakily mentioned that this is the second one. It took time to figure out if it was closed or just covered. Indeed I had the tea with the hot water later. I looked around when this first happened to return back the cup which had cold water. She wasn’t around. And I had to apologise when she was mentioning if she has to do for the second time and mentioning it was closed. So please kindly write there that it is closed beside covering it. Indeed when I realised it was cold I wanted to give back. What is the means of coming to the table? If her intention was to serve she would have said something like it is fine I was just asking. The customer doesn’t have to apologise. It was wrong to come to the table and ask front of my family. My husband has heard this later and we have added our reviews in booking.com as well. It is important to treat the customers fairly and equally. Later we checked out, she could have mentioned there as well. She saw and realised something was wrong. I’m not accepting the situation was my misunderstanding! There is a way to treat a customer. She was clearly treating other guests...
Read moreI booked to stay for one night as we were visiting the Aachen Christmas market. I chose the hotel because of the location and proximity to the market. I was slightly wary after reading reviews of the hotel however, I had nothing to worry about. ||We got a taxi to the hotel because we had heavy luggage however you can walk to the hotel, it takes about 15-20 minutes. A taxi from Aachen HBF was only 8 euros. ||The hotel is quite disguised from the outside but we found it ok. We buzzed the door and we were let in. You have to walk up some stairs to get to reception but then there is a lift from reception to the rooms. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. ||We went up to our room on the fourth floor. You do have to walk over an outdoor balcony to get to the rooms but it was fine. Our room was lovely and cosy. It was clean and tidy and we were very happy with it. The hotel is a two minute walk to the shops and the Christmas market. A great location! ||The breakfast was very yummy and there was lots of choice. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, it really made our stay special. ||I would highly recommend this hotel. We had a great nights sleep, a wonderful breakfast and...
Read moreAlthough mentioned on the reservation form, the hotel calls me at the last possible moment to tell me I cannot checkin at 2100 because they are then closed. As a matter of fact, the reception desk is mostly closed, in the evenings, early morning and throughout the morning. There is no service. Receptionist is unfriendly, pretends not to speak any other language then German, refuses to explain where I can find an ATM (its accross the street),refuses to change money, and doesnt give a WIFI password. Rooms are clean, new and empty. No coffee/tea facilities, no dry cleaning service, nothing. Breakfast good. Rooms cannot be opened due to the...
