After a rather nice experience a year ago, my wife and I were really looking forward to today's lunch at this restaurant in Aschaffenburg. Regretfully the lunchtime experience was rather disappointing - I am trying hard to find kind words - but both service and food quality let us down badly.
The food was not even lukewarm, when it was served to us. We asked for it to be heated a bit more and got it back a while later, just a tiny bit warmer than it was before.
The taste is obviously a matter of personal preference and it is hard to be objective. However, based on my experience of having lived in London for 5 years and frequenting Indian restaurants all the time, I must say it was terrible and I subsequently didn't finish my "Vegan Tandoori Wrap".
It was a strange choice to beging with. While advertised as a "house speciality" - I'd say steer clear of it. Neither had I ever heard of such a thing nor should it exist, considering...
Read moreThe food is OK, the starter plate for one person is mainly different vegetables with deep fried with batter, ok but nothing special, everything tastes similar. My Lamb pieces were not so good at this time but the sauces in lamb thali were OK, when we told this to waiter they offered to make a bit more but we'll wasn't really ready to wait more. My wife's palak paneer was tasting good when I had a taste of it and my friends mango-curry sauce. Dessert was decent, mix of 3 different types of dessert, even though it was written on chalk board that it will include 4. Also Indian beer was out even it was written on Wall as a new product but it was informed by waiter. Service is good, atmosphere is alright. Price is for quality what we received this time a bit high end, might give a new test one day if this restaurant will make up to the expectations what 4,5 stars...
Read moreI like that the interior of the restaurant was kept simple and modern with a little bit touch of Indian. To be honest I don't like an over decorated Indian restaurant. I had chicken korma and my daughter had aladin (kid's menu). My husband had palak paneer. The food was delicious. The chicken was tandoori chicken from my daughter's was tender and flavourful. The sauce for my chicken korma was delightful. Too bad the portion of the vegetables in my chicken korma was so little. I feel the rice portion could have been more. All and all, it was a nice experience to dine in. By the way the chicken was halal so its reassuring to have halal food. The male and female server were great. We felt welcome there. Thank tou for the experience. We will come again when we drop...
