Khon Thai — Restaurant in Bad Münstereifel

The service staff is super rude. She doesn’t even know how to smile! She literally told us that no drinks no food although we have ordered hot drinks! The way she talked to us is unbearable. Just because I was with my Friends and family, I did not speak any word and close the matter. Else such a bad lady needs special treatments. Anyway - never again. Change the staff and learn how to handle customers. Your restaurant is running just because...

Das Ambiente im Innenbereich ist wirklich nett, und auch die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich, das hat mir gut gefallen. Geschmacklich war das Essen auch in Ordnung.

Allerdings war mein Besuch insgesamt enttäuschend. Im Vergleich zu zahlreichen anderen Thai-Restaurants war dies leider das bislang schwächste Erlebnis. Das Essen wurde völlig lieblos serviert – keine Dekoration, keine typische thailändische Präsentation, wie man sie sonst fast überall kennt.

Preis-Leistung stimmte für mich überhaupt nicht: Ein kleines Entengericht für 23,90 € ist deutlich überzogen. Nicht einmal in Köln zahlt man so viel und wenn doch, bekommt man deutlich mehr auf den Teller.

Ein weiterer Minuspunkt: An der Eingangstür steht, dass alle gängigen Karten (inkl. Amex) akzeptiert werden! Bei der Bezahlung wurde meine American Express jedoch überraschend abgelehnt. Diese Kartenzahlung wird nicht mehr angeboten!

Was mich zusätzlich irritiert: Viele andere Bewertungen loben das Restaurant als preiswert, für mich absolut nicht nachvollziehbar. Vermutlich fehlt dort einfach der Vergleich zu authentischen Thai-Restaurants mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Due to the frequent rainy weather the outside dining area is often if not always under plastic cover. The Atmosphere of this isn't all that pleasant. The Staff aren't overly nice or anything but are willing to follow sudden requests such as table arrangements and adding more people to the party after ordering. The price to food ratio was decent when taking the quality of the food...
