Quetschn — Restaurant in Bayreuth

Update: same great experience 3 years later!! This time 2 of our boys ate their own giant burger. :)

You HAVE to go here. We were visiting Germany for a few days and stopped here for dinner with our kids. The gentleman that runs the place was so kind to us and helpful with our kids. He was happy to split the giant burgers for our kids and he talked to us in English since our German vocabulary consisted of only three words. The food came out and the portions were huge and the quality was top notch. The owner's wife cooks the food and the burger buns are made fresh daily. She came out to say hi to the kids and offered them little chocolates as we were leaving. Oh, one more thing... the place is decorated in a fun way... each booth has a different theme that you'll have to come see for yourself. Like I said, you HAVE to eat here if you are visiting this city. We found it to be the perfect place after spending a lovely evening at the nearby animal park. My compliments to the couple that runs this place. Your love for your restaurant and customers is evident and made the dining experience enjoyable...

My most favorite burger place EVER! The Quetschen is what you need to visit when you are in Bayreuth. This unique place is older than myself and never had a lack in quality. Their burgers are what makes this place so incredible. They are delicious, good-looking and super huge. The best part of it is that they make their buns themselves. Back in the day we used to eat two of these goodies, but believe me, one is more than enough. :) A little tip at the edge: They offer coupon codes on their website, which save you 2€ per meal - simply print those and hand them over while you...

Мой Байройт. День 4. Ужин. Взял сезонную спаржу "Natur" и "спаржевую" пиццу. Порции неприлично большие - бОльшую часть пиццы пришлось взять с собой. Сочетание спаржи, пармской ветчины и голландского соуса на тонком "правильном" тесте весьма убедительно. Очень вкусно и относительно недорого из-за нетуристического расположения, во дворе жилой многоэтажки/общаги. Обновление. Февраль 2020. И вновь - вкусно и много. В этот раз взяли немецкое - два вида свиных стейков и фирменный ризен-бургер ребёнку. Вообще в Германии свинина по вкусу ближе к индейке - чем они ее кормят?)) Гарнир - это вариант рёсти - жареная картошка в виде оладушек. Бургер на фото выглядит небольшим - на самом деле он размером в две ладони взрослого. В итоге ребёнок был сыт с двух укусов. Оставшимся «бутером» мы с ним «пообедали» на следующий день. На фото также обалденный ризен-десерт (яблочные колечки в коричном сахаре с мороженым). Это был мой 4-й ужин в Квечне за несколько лет. Лучшее соотношение цена/качество/количество в Байройте по немецкой кухне. Единственный минус для некоторых - все (все!) мясные блюда - на основе свинины. Говядины, дичи,...
