Berliner Krug — Restaurant in Berlin

This is the worst experience I ever had in a bar while visiting another country.

The old guy at the counter, not sure if he’s an owner of the place or bartender did not let me and my friend stay there because I ordered a drink and my friend did not! He asked us to leave the place because only ONE drink was ordered!

I thought that was a joke as I asked for a large beer for me and my friend just did not wanna drink and was considering ordering non-alco option like tea.

But the guy refused to pour a drink until the second person orders and he said that if I was the only one drinking beer, then we had to leave!!l!

I assume your bar would not close business because of losing 4euro if someone did not order but I felt like I was at some touristic resort when everyone tries to rip you off.

maybe thats a typical behavior here in bars of Berlin but I am really wishing those owners do not have any customers!!! The most arrogant person I’ve ever seen in customer service…

Though this place is not and should not be a place for tourists, my fiance and I found ourselves here while having a delay between flixbus switches. It is a very casual bar with traditional German beer. What got me was how nice the locals of this bar were. They seemed to be so excited to have a couple from the United States there to share their bar with them. They bought us drinks and we shared good conversation with them.
