Bodhicitta Vegan Bowl — Restaurant in Berlin

Bodhicitta has tasty food for vegans and meat lovers alike!

Even if you're not used to eating without meat, a meal at Bodhicitta will surely not disappoint! Their soy-based meat alternatives are a combination of sweet and savory, packed with umani. They have a real kick! Paired with noodles or rice, you get a dish that feels familiar and fresh at the same time.

This is not your traditional vietnamese restaurant, instead it is a great place to come if you want to try something new. Great food and affordable prices with a great atmosphere and very kind and helpful owners!

Everything that everyone else has said, times two. I had the red curry with seitan and it's undoubtedly the best red curry I've ever had. The vegetables fresh, the salad crunchy, the seitan delicious and the sauce simply out of this world. It's almost enough to make me move to Berlin.

I also ordered the ginger tea and although simple (fresh ginger, some honey) it was again fantastic. So good I ordered two. Frankly I was tempted to order two courses of the red curry as well, but managed to resist.

Nachtrag Leider ist das Restaurant überhaupt nicht mehr das, was es war. In den letzten Monaten wurde ich jedes Mal enttäuscht, habe es aber darauf geschoben, dass es wohl eine Ausnahme war. Allerdings wurde das Essen von Mal zu Mal schlechter. Es fehlten Zutaten oder es war trocken und mit wenig frischem Gemüse - so wie es früher war und mich überzeugt hatte. Heute hatte ich die Memory Nuss bestellt. Die Mahlzeit bestand aus trockenem Reis, Reis, Reis, 2 kleinen Brokkolistücken, Reis, einem Stück Karotte, Reis, trockenen Salatblättern, Reis und so gut wie keiner Soße. Selbst nachdem ich Dreiviertel des Reises entfernte, war es noch so trocken, dass es kaum essbar war. Schade. Das Restaurant war mal so toll und ich hatte mich darauf gefreut, es wöchentlich zu besuchen.

Reisnudeln mit gegrilltem Sojasteak… Das Steak erinnerte mich in Konsistenz und Optik an krossgebackene Ente. Geschmacklich war es keine Ente ;-) Die Soße an den Reisnudeln… der Hammer. Hab ich geschmacklich keinen Vergleich zu. Überhaupt war es ein Feuerwerk für meine Geschmacksnerven. Absolut lecker.

Der Salat war total frisch und knackig. Nicht ein welkes Blatt dabei.
