KUCHI Kant — Restaurant in Berlin

Incompetent? Forgetful? Uncaring? Worse? Who knows, but what is definite is that when I went the waitress insisted that I wasn't allowed to keep my expensive umbrella with me. She removed the umbrella to somewhere else in the restaurant and didn't offer it back to me when I left. As I was in a hurry and had other things on my mind, I also forgot to ask for it back. When I returned to the restaurant after the Christmas holidays the staff said they knew nothing about it and clearly couldn't care less. Despite leaving my details, I've heard nothing. Hard not to conjecture about what must have happened...

If a restaurant insists on separating people from their property and taking care of it for them, then I think the restaurant should continue to take care of the property until the customer is able...

The restaurant is a bit small, but it is okay.

I think, that the prices are way too high for what you get, but the food tasted good. Nothing special tho.

The waiter staff is nice, besides some little miscommunication problems, they were friendly.

We were 3 persons and the bill was about 100€, afterwards we were not full, but still somehow satisfied.

Because they mostly only have benches, we had to sit next to strangers, but that was no problem at all, just not very comfortable.

The drinks were okay, a bit pricey and with no special decoration. The lemon in my drink looked disgusting tho. I liked the glass straw.

It is okay, but I wouldn’t recommend it, it’s below average, ate way better sushi at...

Haven't had service like this outside of Japan. Tomaso is the kind of waiter that can read a vibe, makes you feel like you're honoured guests at his home, and his recommendations (based on what he had noticed we were pointing at (!) in the menu while discussing our choices over a cocktail) were all spot on!

It's been while since I've enjoyed myself this much on a night out in a restaurant, and since becoming parents these nights feel so special that it's just such a joy to have someone celebrate the notion of service in such a personally devoted way, and to eat food that is of highest quality. We could sense the Japanese spirit in this place, and we'll definitely be back, no doubt!
