I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Barn Café Hackescher Markt and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience! The food was delicious, with a wide range of options to suit every taste and preference. But what really made our evening stand out was the outstanding service provided by the staff, particularly Sachin.

Sachin was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met. His knowledge of the menu and wine list was impressive, and his recommendations were spot on. He made sure that our glasses were always full and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a cozy ambiance that made us feel right at home. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and service.

Overall, I would highly recommend The Barn Café Hackescher Markt to anyone looking for a great dining experience. And be sure to ask for Sachin - he's a true asset to the team!

I was assaulted today at this burger shop by an aggressive and unprofessional employee from this shop.

I came into the restaurant and was in the line to order when an employee there told me rudely to get out of the way so that the lieferando person could get to the counter. His employee jeered as if it was alright and just a “ joke”. I told him that that is no way to talk to someone, let alone a customer and after escalation, saying things like he would spit in my food, he doesn’t care about the customer, he stormed from out of the kitchen and slapped me on the left ear. I am still unable to hear properly from my ear. I was also shocked that the other employees kept their head down as if they were embarrassed but didn’t want to do anything about it. I have filed a official police complaint but and hope to see that it the establishment also agrees that assault and aggression is met by a strict measure to ensure the safety of customers from violence. Very upset and hope something happens about this...

Se cercate opzioni senza glutine, questo NON è il posto per voi. Hanno del pane senza glutine, ma lo preparano insieme e letteralmente sulle briciole degli altri panini.

Dopo aver letto le tante recensioni positive sul senza glutine, abbiamo deciso di provare questo locale per un ordine d’asporto. Il posto era praticamente vuoto, ma, vedendo una colonnina stile McDonald per effettuare l’ordine, abbiamo pensato fosse obbligatorio utilizzarla anziché ordinare al banco, solitamente preferiamo ordinare di persona all’estero per spiegare e capire se quello che ordiniamo sia effettivamente senza glutine.

Abbiamo selezionato un panino normale per me e uno con pane senza glutine (pagando un supplemento di +1,50€). Mentre aspettavamo, il mio ragazzo celiaco e io ci siamo messi a osservare la preparazione dei panini, dato che la cucina è a vista.

Ed ecco la scena peggiore che una persona celiaca possa vedere: il ragazzo alla griglia prende il panino Schär, apre la busta, e lo taglia con lo stesso coltello che aveva appena usato per i panini normali. Poi lo appoggia sullo stesso tavolo, tra le briciole degli altri panini. Subito dopo, sembra avere un’illuminazione: si rende conto che forse non è il massimo appoggiare il pane senza glutine sulle briciole degli altri. Così prende uno straccio, sposta un po’ di briciole, e lo rimette nello stesso punto.

Non contento, riscalda il panino sfregandolo sulla stessa griglia dove scalda i panini normali e cuoce gli hamburger. Alla fine, prepara il panino toccando tutto senza mai cambiare i guanti, mescolando gli ingredienti (e le briciole) senza alcuna attenzione. Il tutto viene assemblato sullo stesso piano di lavoro usato per i panini normali.

Siamo rimasti scioccati e arrabbiati, soprattutto perché, quando viaggiamo all’estero, l’unico modo che abbiamo per mangiare in sicurezza è affidarci alle recensioni. Evidentemente, questo locale ha servito cibo contaminato per anni.

La celiachia è una MALATTIA AUTOIMMUNE che può causare reazioni gravi, tanto da portarti in ospedale, e l’unico modo per conviverci è la dieta senza glutine. NON POTETE GIOCARE COSÌ CON LA VITA DELLE PERSONE.

Non basta comprare pane senza glutine per offrire un’opzione gluten free. Serve una parte del piano di lavoro dedicata, la carne non può essere cotta sulla stessa griglia del pane, e il panino deve essere assemblato in un’area separata.

Abbiamo buttato 15€, ma almeno siamo riusciti a evitare di rovinarci l’intera settimana di vacanza.

Un peccato dato che di per sé il mio panino (normale)...
