I had the falafel and halloumi bowl. The portion was huge and I was not able to finish it. Food and staff wise it could have deserved 5 stars.
Here is why not: When we ordered the food, I made clear that I picked the gluten free option and asked about sauces being gf. The menu has them labelled as such and even listed the allergens, where it didn't say wheat/gluten. The picked bowl was labeled as gluten free.
We sat down, waited for the food. Once it arrived, it had a pita bread on it.
I told the staff about it not being gf and they brought me a plate where I can put the bread separately. However, this was already too late and problematic in terms of cross contamination and is already a risk for people with celiac disease. I scraped off the food that touched the pita and gave it to my friend.
I don't understand why the menu doesn't say 'All bowls contain pita' and then I could have said no bread for me or should have been informed by the staff. 2 weeks prior I spent in Ireland and probably got too spoiled by them as the same worked perfectly fine each time there. No hidden bread!
For any gf people reading this, remember to ask to have NO pita bread or you will be...
Read moreA Berlin gem. Fantastic vegetarian/vegan food, great prices, friendly service. The menu is not huge but all of the options are delicious and very affordable (6€ for a sandwich, 12€ for a bowl). For fast food, it is also more healthy. The food is not very processed and tastes fresh. If you dine in, they offer free black tea to sip while waiting for the order. The food is not traditional Uzbekistan, but a vegetarian/vegan Indian satvic twist on traditional Uzbekistan cuisine. The restaurant atmosphere feels very traditional though. The staff are always so friendly and warm whenever we come. Happy to be a regular here whenever I am in Berlin! Don't miss this spot, especially if you are...
Read moreYou don’t miss non vegetarian food here ! And the family who run it are such polite and happy people. 🧡 I love the Besh bowl with all the other ingredients. My friend loved the falafel bowl. I also absolutely love the vegan sweet. Nimura is what I think it is called. You also get free tea with your order. The interior is so thoughtfully put together. The white and the colours and the soft music have all been blended so beautifully for a place so small. Good fresh light food and such kind service. Kudos...
